I was driving through the gully community of Cassava Piece at 7am on Sunday morning, and took the opportunity of the quiet streets to just capture a few simple pictures. They are or meant to tell any profound story. For some, whether familiar with Jamaica or not, they maybe scenes never or rarely seen.

I commented in my previous post about some little signs that suggest a change in the nature of the physical environment. They are in these pictures.

This morning, I also noticed a solid-looking house that was having a new level built on it. Not, just a wood and zinc addition, but with blocks and fancy roof tiles. I’ll keep my eyes on this.
